The Stanhill Residents Association was established in January 2009 following a successful three year campaign to prevent Barratts Homes building an unsuitable housing development in the village.
The campaign encouraged local residents to come together and continue to actively support the interest of this historic and highly attractive village. The best way of achieving this was through a residents association, supported by the local council but most importantly by villagers themselves. In 2014 the Residents Association merged with the highly successful and much longer standing Stanhill Fete Committe to form the Stanhill Residents and Fete Committee. This has enabled us to combine lobbying on behalf of residents with organising the village fete and other events and providing benefit to the local community.
